On Tuesday morning last week, as a follow up to the recent visit to the Wates/AESC Gigafactory construction project in Washington, we were delighted to welcome into school Genna and Jimmy from Sunbelt Rentals and Ashleigh and David from Wates Group to deliver the second part of the exciting Sunbelt Rentals Beacons Schools programme with our Year 12 Engineering students. During this session, students took part in a bespoke Employability Skills workshop. This interactive and immersive Employability Skills workshop gave students the opportunity to learn more about the key skills needed when going into the world of work. Students were able to learn about how to apply for an Apprenticeship in preparation for future careers choices. Some students will have the opportunity shortly to apply for work experience placements as part of this amazing collaboration.
