Our new Year 12 recruits visited Durham last week – what better way to start a new phase of your education than to see where you might aim to go next? Students saw the impressive library, checked out the student digs in the halls of residence, and sampled the all important coffee!
Not to miss out on looking forwards to University, four of our high-flying Year 13 students visited Cambridge University, alongside students from thirteen other schools across Wearside, as part of their Outreach Programme. Students spent 48-hours as a Jesus College undergraduate, finding out just what it takes to study at Cambridge. They were involved in subject specific sessions, personal statement workshops and underwent gruelling interview practice. After advice from Admissions Tutors and tips on the best accommodation from Graduate Ambassadors, these early applicants are now fully equipped for the Oxbridge journey ahead!
