Even though we are in uncertain times please be reassured that places offered at The Sixth Form are safeguarded for all Southmoor Year 11 students. To make the transition between Year 11 and 12 smooth and successful we have designed a 12 week programme of study to help build the skills and knowledge you need to make a flying start. This work is for everyone – those who have applied and those who have still not decided.
Please find attached this week’s work which is an introduction to our OxNet programme, a national access and outreach initiative. OxNet’s first North East Hub is based at Southmoor Academy, supported jointly by Oxford and other top universities as part of their commitment to widening participation in higher education.

You need to keep a record of the work you complete – either an e-copy or hard copy – as we will be looking at these in September. You will receive stamps for your loyalty card in place of the events we have cancelled.
When Sixth Form begins we will make sure there is a full programme of induction so new Year 12 students are happy with their course choices and future direction.
