Thriving in Lockdown

Year 12 students have been using lockdown as an opportunity to gain valuable online work experience opportunities through the Speakers for Schools platform. These opportunities give students an insight into potential future career pathways and bolster their experience in such fields, making them increasingly more competitive when applying to universities, apprenticeships and future jobs. Consistently it is those that work hard outside the classroom, as well as in it, that achieve some of the most astounding successes. We are proud to say that all Year 12 students are actively seeking out these opportunities and not allowing their vast aspirations to be dampened by lockdown. Well done to them all – keep it up!

Some of the successful applicants include:

Katie Anderson, Introduction to Pathology – Virtual Work Experience with the ‘The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust’.
Rosie Patterson, The NHS Nursing Work Experience Week
