Our student council held their first meeting of the year with representatives from every year group (excluding Year 7 and 12 who will have their own representatives elected soon) and lead by our head students in Year 13. This was a chance for them to discuss issues important to our pupils with our school leaders, including our new Headteacher, Mrs Maw. The main topic of discussion this morning was ideas on how to further improve our school yard and communal areas to make them more comfortable and enjoyable spaces for our students. Our insightful council had some fantastic ideas and we’re looking forward to working with them further throughout the year.
