Southmoor recently hosted Professor Giles Gasper (Durham University) and Dr Elly Waters (Oxford University) to kick off the OxNet Northeast Heritage 360 Programme. Students from across the Northeast experienced a taste of university-level study, examining heritage through diverse fields such as photography, history, archaeology, and the biosciences.
The day included guidance on thriving in higher education and encouraged students to think critically about heritage with the questions: What should we preserve, conserve, or let go? Discussions were lively, thought-provoking, and offered a fresh perspective on the value of the past.
