Gillian Bell, Parliament’s Education & Engagement Officer for the North East, visited Year 12 to help them develop their understanding of democratic procedures in our country. Students attended an assembly about the role of parliament and how they could have a voice (for example, by being part of the Sunderland Youth Parliament). Sociology and Law students then attended a practical debate workshop discussing gambling addiction among young people.
