OxNet Seminar Series Looks to the Stars

OxNet students launched into the seminar series by exploring the cosmos and comparing medieval and modern views on the universe. They considered questions such as how the universe was created . Was it designed by a ‘craftsman’ ? Or, did it always exist? They compared the theories of thinkers like Plato and Aristotle, and considered how Robert Grosseteste’s theory of celestial bodies fit in. They watched virtual simulations of The Big Bang, the creation of galaxies and the formation of stars.
