Students in Year 12 finished their fourth and final session of Barclays Lifeskills, which has been running weekly throughout this term. The groups were thinking about Pensions and Pension schemes as well as different savings accounts, and the different procedures involved in renting or buying properties. Over the course of these sessions Year 12 students have gained an in-depth knowledge of financial planning, taxation and skills for professional life which will set them up well to make wise decisions for their finances. They have been equipped to understand the world of banking and finance from industry professionals from local Barclay’s offices and branches who have also shared an insight into the broad range of career routes in the banking sector. We are so thankful for The Talent Foundary and Barclays Bank for running these sessions with the students left far more confident about their finances as they look ahead to life beyond Sixth Form.
