Year 12 Take Part in a Radicalisation Workshop

We were delighted to welcome Peter Hyman, a former policy adviser to both Tony Blair and more recently Sir Keir Starmer, to Southmoor on Wednesday. He held a workshop on online radicalisation, and gathered views from our sixth form students that will feature in the research paper he is writing.

Mapping Regeneration

Our Year 12 Geographers visited East Boldon and Hendon as part of their A Level topic on regeneration – comparing contrasting local places. After completing extensive secondary research, they collected primary data which will allow them to compare the character of these contrasting places.
