Our Year 12 Law students recently visited Newcastle College for an immersive experience in its Crime Village, giving them the opportunity to put their classroom learning into practice.
The Crime Village is a dedicated simulation space designed to recreate real-life policing and criminal justice scenarios. Newcastle College’s facilities include simulated environments, crime-scene investigation resources and spaces where students can practise applying their knowledge to realistic situations.
For our students, the visit provided a valuable insight into how the law works beyond the classroom, allowing them to explore practical aspects of policing, evidence and criminal investigation. It was a great opportunity to develop their understanding while experiencing the type of hands-on learning available in the criminal justice sector.
The visit also gave students a taste of the facilities and opportunities available at Newcastle College as they consider their options for further study and future careers in law and the wider criminal justice system.
