As part of our ongoing partnership with Sunderland University, we are delighted that academics from the university are coming into school over the next few months to deliver academic taster sessions to our Year 12 students in a variety of different subjects. This is to give students examples of what is studied at undergraduate level within each subject, an opportunity to meet with staff at Sunderland University who deliver these courses, and to give students further insights into what they are studying now and how this links to higher education.
Our final workshop took place this week with our Law students taking part in a presentation delivered by the academics from the Law department at the university. Next week, all of Year 12 will be spending a day on campus to take part in more academic tasters and to find out more about university life.
