As part of our ongoing partnership with Sunderland University, we are delighted that academics from the university are coming into school over the next few months to deliver academic taster sessions to our Year 12 students in a variety of different subjects. This is to give students examples of what is studied at undergraduate level within each subject, an opportunity to meet with staff at Sunderland University who deliver these courses, and to give students further insights into what they are studying now and how this links to higher education. Our next set of sessions took place this week: on Monday, the Biosciences department at the university delivered a workshop to our Year 12 Biology students; on Wednesday, the Film and Media department delivered a workshop to our Year 12 Film and Media students; and on Friday, the English department delivered a workshop to our Year 12 English students.
