On Friday, Our KS5 Visual Arts students visited Edinburgh for a day of cultural and creative exploration. The trip included visits to the Scottish National Gallery and the National Museum of Scotland, where students studied a range of artworks and artefacts to support their contextual research
They also walked the Royal Mile, observing and documenting the city’s distinctive architecture through sketches and photography. This experience helped students develop a stronger understanding of composition, structure, and visual storytelling within their own artistic practice.
The trip provided valuable first-hand inspiration and a deeper appreciation of architecture and artwork
