Working Options for Year 12

Volunteers, Rebecca and Michael, visited Year 12 representing the organisation ‘Working Options’. They shared their career journeys in business development and working for the Co-op, discussing the different pathways they took to get to where they are today. Students also learned some top tips for career progression and what employers are looking for.

Performing an Assessment

Year 13 Performing Arts students visited The Northern Stage to view the popular play ‘Equus’.  They examined the performance and used it to form an analysis of the stage drama as part of their A Level course work.

Awaiting Alumni

Year 12 Sharpen Their Revision Skills

Thanks to representatives from Sunderland University who joined Year 12 for a workshop on study skills to focus on revision techniques, where to study and the importance of sticking to a schedule. Year 12 will no doubt put this to good use as they move into their final year.

Anti-Bullying Takes to the Stage

As part of our drive to foster an anti-bullying culture, our Performing Arts students staged a drama piece during assemblies. Exploring the UCAS Exhibition

Year 12 students visited the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle for the UCAS Tyneside Higher Education Exhibition to explore a wide range of academic and career opportunities. The event hosted hundreds of university representatives, employers and gap year specialists.
